Which files can I use?

JPG, PNG and WebP images are supported, up to 20 MB per file and 12 megapixels per image. Process one image at a time. HEIC and animated images are currently unsupported.

Are my files stored on a server?

Files are processed in your browser. Neither originals nor results are uploaded to a server. Saved settings contain no file contents. Results that you have not downloaded disappear when you close the page.

Will the quality or photo information change?

JPG and WebP quality depends on your settings. Transparent areas become white in JPG files. Re-encoding removes original metadata such as EXIF and GPS, and colors may differ from the original. Animation is unsupported.

How does the target file size work?

1 KB equals 1,024 bytes. Quality and, if needed, resolution are reduced to meet your limit. If the limit cannot be met, you will see an error with next steps. The quality slider does not apply to PNG.
